Atom Live are proud to showcase some of the new up-and-coming talent from Access To Music at Playfest 2011

Big Top Stage  (2nd Stage)
Atom Live presents: Jimi's Parade & Dead Ends.

Jimi's Parade.
Indie rockers Jimi's Parade formed in 2009 in East London with front man and Sheffield songwriter Liam Burns. The sound of Jim's Parade both live and recorded is describe as raw yet melodic fused by honesty and realism. 2010 saw Jimi's Parade take to the road on their first UK tour. They played alongside French upstarts The Shoes and The Bewitched Hands On Top of Our Heads, taking in Birmingham, Bristol, London, Manchester and the Great Escape in Brighton to great reviews and growing crowds. Later that year off to France for a sellout show at Le Gibus in Paris and numerous shows throughout the rest of 2010 back in Blighty. 2011 saw Jimi's Parade booked for showcases at SXSW in Austin Texas along with their first single release, The Lover, on iTunes through Ditto Music. They are on a roll...for sure! As one Journalist said “They're walking like eagles”. Not to be missed at Playfest.

Dead Ends.
With their explosive stage presence and anthemic set-lists winning a new army of fans in London and their hometown Norwich, Dead Ends are already getting the alternative music scene talking. The band’s success is built around Adam Soper’s inspired guitar lines and Ben Mace’s sing-til-your-throat-hurts lyrics. With their first EP already causing a mighty stir, Dead Ends are clearly at the beginning of something very special.

Acoustic Stage (Futures Trailer Staging Unit) & Atom Rockhopper Mobile Studio

Access to Music and Atom Live will be showcasing some of  best new acoustic acts from the UK's Music Student Network.

Atom Rockhopper Mobile Studio.
What is the Rockhopper? It's a professional ProTools mobile recording and video studio housed inside a funky 1963 Airstream Caravan, which goes around the country, recording singers, artists and bands. It will be onsite at Playfest in association with Access To Music (Atom) to capture and record any wandering talent. Come on by, pop in and knock out a song or even put a band together at the festival and record your first single!  www.rockhopper.co.uk

Oh Come All Ye Playful.......
With the sun beating down on Play Fest central the festival site is truly looking stunning now it is in full bloom.  What’s even better is that apart from a few late additions the complete line-up has now been announced.  What better way to spend a bank holiday weekend than to be entertained by over 60 bands on three stages including Frank Turner, The Futureheads and Darwin Deez and over 50 DJ’s including Grooverider, Ray Keith and Benji Boko in the Play Fest Dance Arena.

There are a lot more surprises in store and playful happenings to keep you all amused and grinning from ear to ear.
