Atom Live has partnered up with French promotion company MusiqueXchange to pioneer a unique UK 12-date tour which mixes up-and-coming pro French acts with emerging student talent from England. Building on from when the likes of Air and Daft Punk redefined Gallic musical cool, MusiqueXchange will showcase four of the most exciting and talked about stars of the New French Wave:

Each date will consist of two French acts with support coming from Access to Music acts booked through Atom Live.

NELSON. Perhaps not the most French name on the tour, but don't be fooled, these chaps have a sound ranging from early Animal Collective to definite Factory Records vibe. This Parisian post punk/electronica outfit have already caught the attention of the UK press. The NME said 'These guys are the premier French art-popsters, and are a thousand times better than most of the Libertines influenced bands coming from Paris at the mo' while The Times commented 'these young Frenchmen carry off the dark suit jacket and skinny jeans with a chic touch that most English blokes can only dream of'. >> More info.

FORTUNE. Fortune are electro-popsters of the finest variety – you may already have heard their track 'Bully' on a Comet advert in the UK. They have spent the summer playing festivals in Switzerland and are here in the UK promoting their third EP, Highway. >>More info.

SECOND SEX. With a million and a quarter + hits on MySpace and signed to Because France, these guys have their own brand of rock à la The Hives plus a gaggle of screaming girls, with all the kids getting down and taking rock 'n' roll back to where it belongs. KID BOMBARDOS. The youngest of any of the bands touring this autumn, the band hail from Bordeaux, a French city known for its fantastic wines and rock bands. The Strokes have also played a part in the development of this band for sure, and thank goodness for that. >> More info.
