The Atom Music Group has been set up to provide Access to
Music students and apprentices with the opportunity to learn
and engage in the music industry in an exciting new way. Artists
will start to create and develop new opportunities for their
music which could be the start of something big! Apprentices
and music business students can gain valuable work experience
through internships and even paid work.

ATOM MUSIC: digital distribution
It’s all very well creating your music and recording it, but how do you go
about distributing it? Atom Music is here to help. Atom Music is a digital
distribution service powered by Ditto Music, one of the UK’s leading digital
distributors. We are offering every Level 3 and HE Access to Music student
and apprentice the opportunity to distribute at least one track to two
stores of their choice FREE of charge. Atom Music will also enable centres
to set up labels,will generate sales charts, while also offering a nice range of
optional features such as chart registration and mobile distribution.
Atom Music has also brokered a deal with Soundcloud to provide every
ATM student and apprentice with a FREE Soundcloud Lite account worth
£29. This means you can upload and stream music across the web.
Atom Music is a member of the Association of Independent Music (AIM)
and is supported by PRS for Music and the Musicians Union.

ATOM MUSIC PUBLISHING: music publishing

Atom Music Publishing has been set up to introduce you to the world
of music publishing. If you are a songwriter, producer or composer then
Atom Music Publishing can help you. In partnership with Sentric Music
Rights Management, we can offer Access to Music students and apprentices
the chance to gain royalty collection on performances and broadcasts of
copyrighted works together with a synchronisation service which seeks
to place your music into everything from adverts to TV programmes to
computer games. Please note that 20% of your royalty income will be taken
by Sentric to cover administration costs. We also have aprtnerships with Writer's Tap and Sibee Records.
Atom Music Publishing is a member of the Music Publishers Association
(MPA) and is supported by PRS for Music and the Musicians Union.

ATOM MANAGEMENT: artist management

Many artists wonder when is the right time to get a manager. The reality is
when you have got a product that can generate income and has potential.
The best way to get yourself into this postion is to learn how to manage
yourself. Atom Management, in association with Band Central, offers Access
to music students and apprentices the chance to set up their own artist
management hub FREE of charge (normally charged at £6 per month).
Through this you can manage all your artist activity from rehearsals, to
meetings, to gigs, to merchandise and income and expenditure.
Atom Management is a member of the Music Managers Forum (MMF) and
is supported by PRS for Music and the Musicians Union.

Please note that requests to access the special features of the Atom
company sites must come from your Year Tutor. They will assess the right
time for you to access these features and then pass on the user vouchers/
log-ins to you. Please remember that these features are only available for
Level 3 and HE students and apprentices.

ATM Partner College Submissions

Atom Sounds are now receiving music submissions for its 3rd annual compilation CD and Digital release via iTunes and other outlets! artists previously compiled included ATM former student (and Brit Award winner) Ed Sheeran.

Upload a link to your soundcloud account with some information about you to our drop box, we are accepting all Genres

Please do not submit tracks with uncleared samples! The compilation CD is for promo only and will be distributed in The Liverpool Sound City goody bag 17-19 May 2012. all submissions in by 15th March latest.
