Radio Ga Ga....!

How to get your music on the radio, tips and tricks, advice on how the industry works

and inside knowledge from the panelists' own careers.

With

Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music), Jo Good (BBC 6 Music),

Ray Paul (Radio 1 and Big Weekender) and Laura Lukanz (1xtra)

The ‘Radio Ga Ga’ panel forms part of a day long programme of events within ‘Un-Convention Factory’, which takes place at

The Roundhouse, Sat 26th Feb, 2011

Calling the UK’s best creative minds.
Record - Produce - Release - Debate
6 unique music collaborations with your favourite artists.
60 music industry professionals
200 people
10 hours to record, produce and release an album.

This is Un-Convention Factory!!

Take 6 special music collaborations with musicians including Jon McClure (Reverend Soundsystem), Viv Albertine (The Slits), Charli XCX, Lupa (Colombian MC) plus many more, add top producer Jagz Kooner along with 80 invited music industry experts and 200 participants. Then record, produce and release an album in one day.

The premise of the event is to demystify the music industry, laying bare the processes involved, and allowing participants a unique insight into what often seems a rather impenetrable business, with a view to inspiring all involved to pursue their own creative endeavours.

Aside from the Radio Ga Ga panel there will also be panels and discussions around building sustainable careers in music, music as a tool for social change, women in music, and the politicisation of music, plus workshops and presentations from the likes of SoundCloud, Ditto Music, BandCentral and MobileRoadie.
